Citizenship

Since February 2005, the Jirmanian community is divided into two groups:

1. The Free Citizens (FCJ) who dispose of citizen rights,
2. The Friends of Jirmania who are mostly fans or prospective citizens who enjoy most services but do not hold the status of a Free Citizen.

The third status, the Honourable Citizens (HCJ), is reserved for the foreigners with appropriate merits.

Rules

• Any foreigner is allowed to ask for the status of a Citizen or Friend by filling in the Citizenship Application Form (CAF).
• When invited by the Jirmanian citizen, anyone can become a Friend instantly.
• Any Friend is allowed to ask for a full citizenship.
• When someone does not meet the requirements for citizenship, joining the group of Friends is usually proposed.

Friends as well as citizens dispose of some freedoms and duties. The Citizens take part in shaping the Kingdom’s policy if they want to become the registered voters.

The Friends of Jirmania can come from various nations. For Citizens, dual membership with another micronation is not recommended.

Naturalization

When asking for a citizenship the applicants need to state the reason of their application, what they expect from their membership, and what they would like to do in Jirmania.

Persons who can dispose of the special status (In case of their interest, the citizenship is almost always granted):

• Persons married to Jirmanian citizens, relatives of Jirmanian citizens, people born on the Jirmanian soil or onboard the ship registered in Jirmania (ius soli)*
• The descendants of Jirmanian citizens (ius sanguinis) regardless they have one Jirmanian parent or both.*

* Provided they or their legal representatives lay the claim.

Languages

Founded as a nation unlimited in as many ways as possible, our kingdom has no official language. People can decide which language to use in particular situations. Newly established institutions and associations within the kingdom can (but do not have to) choose one or more preferred languages.
